If you see an error while playing Hauler on-line

Learn what to do if you see an error message while playing Hauler during an on-line game.

If Hauler shows an error while playing on-line

You may see an error while playing on-line if a something goes wrong with your Internet connection or Hauler's on-line services. In most cases, you should see instructions on what to do.

Playdate turns off WiFi after a while when not in use to save battery—this includes when you open the menu. If you keep the menu open for longer than about 30 seconds, you may be disconnected from your on-line game.

To check your goal carriages without needing to open the menu, press the Up button at any time during your turn. Press it again to return to your cards.

If you see an error about needing network access

You'll see this error if Hauler tries to connect to the Internet and network permission has been denied.

To enable network permission for Hauler, open the Settings app on your Playdate. Then, go to Permissions, find Hauler in the list of games, and select it. Change the Network option to 'allow'.
